This company should have all licenses revoked. Fly by night, no return phone calls, false insurance papers. They are crooks. Stay away!!

Horrible company from start to finish. Arrived late and the price went up $500 before they even began smashing my furniture into the truck. My furniture was all torked and bent when it arrived and I was told it was a long drive and my furniture wasnt that great anyway. Do not waste your time or valuables with this poorly run company.

$1400 for 25 boxes, which were mostly unnecessary. They repacked everything, pawing through my clean dishes which I had packed with great care. Nicolas said there would be a ‘shuttle’ charge on delivery, maybe $150. At contract signing it was $250 – $500. On delivery day they asked for $800. Always cash. I was overcharged at every opportunity. The total cost was much higher than even pods would have been, and I would not have had the breakage and damage, or the aggravation of being ripped-off when it was too late to argue. I cannot give them a bad enough rating.

It’s always nice during a rough move in such short notice, but it makes a huge difference when your moving with a company like Silver Van lines. They made my move worth telling other people about! I had a lot of things I needed to be moved, on the morning of the move the guys came to my house and were so friendly. the most belonging of mine that I was worried about was my larg tv. The crew did a wonderful job packing my tv and putting it in the crate it cost me only 50$. I was so ecstatic when I saw how they were packing my things. I loved everything about this company. Couldn’t have been more pleased!!

Moving is always incredibly stressful, but the guys at Silver Van lines played straight dice, with solid estimates, polite and prompt service and most importantly they come through with all their promises. They were very patient with the inevitable freak outs that come with moving to a different state with a two year old. Things like finding screws for beds and cribs that were originally supposed to be delivered to storage, assembling our bed and crib frames when we arrived in VA (after being on the road for ten hours they are assembling my daughter’s crib as I write) and generally remaining calm and helpful at all times, were all pleasant surprises. These guys were fast, efficient and dealt with last minute changes with unflappable grace and treated my family with respect and manners. They were on time arriving and dropping off. Nothing got lost or damaged which is impressive all by itself. Ultimately I am very happy with all aspects of the move and will certainly be using Silver van lines from this point on.

I recently got divorced, i was offered a job relocation which i took and i was on a tight budget. I first called a “famous” moving company in my area and the I called Silver Van Lines for a quote and the difference in price was significantly bigger so given my circumstances i chose them. I have to admit a was a little scared that they were going to be unproffesional or that i was going to get what i paid for but they proved me wrong. First of all the employees were very nice, my furniture arrived intact and the timing was exceptional. I am not big on writing reviews but this service i received merits one. I would definetly recommend everybody to use silver van lines.
