We’ve used Merchants twice now for job-related moves. We had a good experience the first time around. They packed and loaded our goods quickly and drove to our new state in 2-3 days. However, we are now in the midst of using them again and this time it is taking a full week for delivery of our goods. We are stuck paying tons of extra money for a hotel and rental car, and I only found out about the delivery date because I went out of my way to ask for it. They were supposed to narrow down the delivery window for us as our move date got closer and they never did, so I emailed them to find out. I guess they weren’t in a hurry to tell us how late the delivery will be. It’s a shame because the guys who have packed and loaded our goods (Dante the first time, Ryan the second) were really great to work with, but it shouldn’t take a week to get your household belongings to you. Moving is stressful and people have to spend money and take days off of work to deal with these issues.
